The hotel "Il Girasole" run by Mr. and Mrs. Orlando is located near the Castle of Materita -- primary residence of Axel Munthe, the Swedish writer and doctor, where between 1927 and 1929 he wrote "The Story of San Michele", the novel read throughout the world -- between the Belvedere Migliera to the feet of Monte Solaro and is only 300 meters from the bus station which connects the most important points of the island.
Il Girasole is an oasis for all dreamers who wish to pass their vacation in one of the most enchanting angles of the island.
